Before he became Coach B Law, Benji was a kid from London who simply fell in love with basketball.

Born to Ghanaian immigrant parents and raised in London as the youngest of five boys, basketball quickly became part of Benji's world. His older brothers were all basketball fans, and by his teenage years, what started as a love for the game had become something he wanted to build his life around.

At 17, Benji was sent to America to pursue that dream.

What followed was years of sacrifice. Three full scholarships. Three championship rings. Thousands of hours of training. He trained as much as three times a day while trying to prove that he belonged.

But his journey wasn't straightforward.

Opportunities were missed. Doors were closed. Some opportunities were taken away from him before he even knew they existed. Eventually, Benji took his game overseas, spending years playing professionally in Europe, competing in dunk contests and experiencing basketball at a level most young players only dream about.

And yet, behind the achievements were experiences that changed him.

​

He saw first-hand how talent isn't always enough. How circumstances, politics, confidence, education and the people around you can all influence where a player's journey takes them.

That experience became the foundation of BLaw Training.

​

Today, Benji coaches with a completely different perspective.

He isn't interested in simply teaching players how to perform drills or making them look good in a training session. He wants players to understand the game, understand themselves and understand what it takes to keep developing when nobody is watching.
